Samsara Productions was founded on April 7th, 2023, during the making of its first Short Film- the period drama- Mrigmarichika. The absolute involvement and drive displayed by Samsara Productions’ Co-Founder and Artistic Director, Mayuresh, during the filming of Mrigmarichika brought home the realisation that within his actor’s soul there also resided a deeply committed film-maker. Ever since, Mayuresh regularly creates and crafts stories for film and theatre. These stories are usually on inter-personal associations that cover a variety of subjects. As Mayuresh’s experiences and vision grow deeper and richer, Samsara Productions proudly awaits his future ventures to take our Production House to newer and greater artistic fulfilment.
Co-Founder and Artistic Director
Mayuresh Rajvaidya, born in 2002, began his Filmmaking career at the age of twenty-one with his debut Short Film ‘Mrigmarichika’, set in 1930s Bengal.
With this project, he founded his Production House, Samsara Productions.
Mayuresh went on to direct several Short Films that explore diverse themes that range from interpersonal relationships, human psychology and behaviour to slice of life narratives.
He then directed his first Feature Film, ‘Montage’, that has received acclaim across Film Festival circuits.
A storyteller and a poet at heart, Mayuresh’s artistic pursuits span writing, direction, acting and writing lyrics.
Mayuresh believes that art is a deeply personal form of expression.
He feels that cinema possesses the power to draw a viewer into its realm and thereby offer new perspectives on life and the human experience..
Co-Founder
Preeti leads the intense brainstorming meetings of Samsara Productions with a special focus on the psychology of relationships and the real-world struggles of daily life.
Preeti enthusiastically supports Samsara Productions in the making of all of our films; as well as appears onscreen in some of them.
Born and raised in Mumbai, Preeti has always been passionate about Cinema— initially though, as only a viewer.
However; since co-founding Samsara Productions, she engages deeply with this art form.
Production Head
Based in Mumbai, Radhika has a flair for the Creative Arts.As the Production Head of Samsara Productions, she brings an eye-for-detail approach to all of our projects.From Design to Budgeting, Communication to Scheduling, Radhika tirelessly handles for us several departments of the filmmaking process.
In addition, as an actress, Radhika brings to the screen a unique blend of charm and fortitude in Samsara Productions’ films.Radhika has also delivered powerhouse performances in varied roles in many leading Theatre Productions across the City.
Executive Producer
Our films achieve the global standard in technical perfection as Pooja ably connects us with the most skilled and respected Filmmaking Technicians.This enables Samsara Productions to confidently create highly relatable and moving cinema with finesse.
Expertly overseeing the development, financing, production and distribution of Samsara Productions’ films, Pooja’s guidance ensures that our projects reach out and connect with diverse audiences.Pooja has a deeply intuitive understanding of the way in which each stage of filmmaking- from the Pre-Production to the Post-Production- is vital to create good Cinema.
Pooja is also an accomplished Music Composer and Singer; with over ten years of experience in composing jingles for popular brands such as Ola, Rasna, ITC, HDFC, etc., as well as in creating compositions for Web Series, Short Films and Indie Films.-
